I would like to start off with saying that I realise that this was a while ago but I didn’t have my blog then and i’d like to share my accomplishments. The picture you see above was taken in England, Somerset. I was having a good go at macro, it was my first time. Very surprising what things look like so close up. This leaf wasn’t anything you would dream of looking at it, yet macro allows you to have a new perspective. I really love Macro.
I fount out about a photography competition on facebook and thought that my photography had a shot. It just so happened that the first week a joined that group the theme of that week was plants… so I entered this one. week later it turns out that I got the most votes.
Tell me what you think!

Beautiful photo. The richness of the green screams “nature” and “organic”. My only quibble would be that I personally (so it’s just mho) would prefer to see the closest edge of the plant and water droplets in a slightly sharper focus. Of course, maybe that’s just because of the resolution of the version you posted online, or maybe some post processing?
BTW: The blog looks great!
No your right the shot could have been in a sharper focus. This was the first time I did any macro and takes some getting use too. Now that I am better at Photoshop I might try to fix it because I still love this image. I’m glad you like my blog, thanks.
Update… I have sharpened the image, I think it is a lot better now.
